Greetings from Brasil 6/25/2014

Dear Family,
We sent our weekly greetings from Belo Horizonte. The work here continues to progress. Every week, we find people who are just waiting for an invitation to return to activity in the church. In a short time, we have been blessed to see changes in many people as they strive to take advantage of the atonement in their lives. Every Sunday, we arrive in anticipation of who will return, perhaps for the first time in years. Please forgive me for omitting personal details as Christian is posting these letters on-line. I will just say that the Holy Ghost is guiding us in our work every day as we set out to find less active members and recent converts. In turn, the Holy Ghost is working within them as they make commitments with Heavenly Father to follow him. We find that we often teach from 2 Nephi 31 on the topic of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: Faith; Repentance; Baptism; Gift of the Holy Ghost; and enduring to the end.
The people here are excited for the Brazil vs. Chile World Cup game to be played here in Belo Horizonte. It will be the first game for the Brazilteam here, so people are expecting a party atmosphere, especially if they win and advance to the quarter-finals. While the younger missionaries are expected to stay in their apartments, we are free to visit members and watch the Brazil games. There is an advantage to serving a senior couple mission.
Love,

Dad/Cliff
