Dear Family,
Sorry for the delay in writing to you this week. Our preparation day (P-Day) was moved to Thursday to accommodate our new assignment in the mission. We are very happy to see the success that the missionaries are having following up on referrals. Delivering requests from pass along cards has been highly successful, with many new investigators accepting the opportunity to learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to make commitments that will change their lives. So, while are work here is different, we are seeing that our new responsibility gives us the opportunity to contribute to the Work here in Minas Gerais. We even heard recently that one of pass along card referrals came from a person who received a card from us!
For P-day, we visited the nearby town of Santa Barbara. It is a small town in the mountains in the former gold mining region. The town had a beautiful 300 year old church with a Brazilian Baroque interior. It was especially nice to get away from the city for the day.
