Dear Family,
We send our greetings again as another week passes.
At the present time, many missionaries are finishing their missions and returning home. As a result, there were many transfers this week, and many new missionaries now have leadership opportunities. For now, during the day we continue to work on the referral system to provide sustainability for the hundreds of referrals received. We also continue to have a full apartment several evenings each week with home evenings. Last Monday, we had a large group of recent converts and members returning to activity. They were all very different from an age, education, and socio-economic perspective, but they were united in striving to show their faith in Christ by following His example in their lives.
For preparation day this week, we took a road trip to the cities of São João del Rei and Tiradentes to enjoy more of the historic culture of Minas Gerais. Tiradentes is full of colonial architecture. Both cities have Baroque churches. Links to learn about these cities are included below. Visiting these cities was well worth the long bus ride to get there.
